I plan to re-organize this journal soon, to make finding things easier. There are so many tags for things that could be condensed! In the meantime, I've been working on a garage kit I bought on eBay some time ago:

It's only her hair for now, painted using Tamiya color red X-7. After a third coat of that, I'll try adding pastel dust along the tips, too. I keep taking pictures of the Pink Soap because it works so incredibly well. It's really great brush cleaner! But on different note, I'm waiting on another doll. > > I wanted a girl as my second, but this boy proved irresistible to me:

He's MSD-sized, double-jointed, limited to 28 in the world, and comes with a kitty doll to boot! *_* I don't know his name yet, but he'll be home in roughly a month. Ee~!

OMG, so happy. XD My Saber garage kit came in yesterday, and she's adorable -- I can't wait to get started on her~

Actually, I've already started to prep her hair, and the dremel came in real handy for that. The only problem I've come across so far is that the lock that sticks up in the middle of her bangs's peg broke. It was too thin anyway, so it looks like I'll really need to pin it (which means I should go out to buy pins soon). The pegs keeping her bangs on are a little loose too, so those will also need pinning. Resin is definitely different from PVC, but the parts are still mostly interchangeable. Anyway! Saaaaaaberrrrrrr~~!!!!eleventy11one!

The hair just needs an extra hole drilled in to attach her ribbon under the bun. I've decided to use a Rui face for her as opposed to the Hana one E2046.com sent -- that one looks really out-of-character for her with its uber-worried expression. As you can see, the hair fits perfectly fine on a regular pinky head. Once I've got the rest of the doll sanded and assembled, we'll see if the parts swap as well with regular pieces.

This is a really complicated kit compared to Airi and Souseiseki. x x I'm beginning to wonder if I should put if off and work on a different one first because I'm afraid I'll mess Saber up. For now I'll at least paint her face.
