I am impressed by how conveniently easy it was to open up and remove this boy's head.


And now for some comparison between my two.


It just occurred to me earlier that the sculpt names of these two are the same, spelled backwards. Om. Mo. > >; Interesting. Anyhow, I'll get to work on these two soon -- it looks like with the arrival of another, Mikan will be getting an overhaul himself. Still waiting on ordered eyes, but thinking about getting 12mms for Renato, since even the 14mms look big on him. I'll need two pairs, actually, since the cat also takes 12mms.

Gwahh... I'm kind of tired. I'll rest more before the next post, promise!

I wouldn't be all that surprised! There's actually a Korean horror film out featuring bjds... Doll Master, was it? I think those were from a different company though, Customhouse.

I guess maybe it will eventually get less creepy, but omg. Naked dolls are horrible things. XD;

My goal is to have him decent enough for a photo by next week! Man, I'm still looking for a pair of eyes that'll suit him... he's got no shoes yet either. D:

did he come with golden eyes? DiM's heads are that way too and it's nice but watch out cause a small jolt will send his headcap flying. you don't know how many times i've set aki down too hard and it's knocked his headcap off. lol. it doesn't take much but DiM have tiny magnets. which reminds me to replace them now. ^__^

are you on flickr by any chance? oh! and did you hear about the DZ photo contest?!?!?

Yup, those are default golden eyes -- I think they're even better quality than the default ones Mikan came with, since those purple ones peeled in the back after a little scratching. Thanks for the heads up about the cap! I wonder if using some of the eye putty or some handitak would help secure them. The latter seems to work for my loose Pinky:st parts.

Yeah! I'm rincylphiel on flickr, how 'bout you? :D And no, I haven't heard about the DZ contest. :o

So, so! Any word on Kai's homecoming?

oh yeah, how did orientation go? are you excited about going there yet?

i really like golden eyes. i'm thinking of getting a pair for aki. that or champagne colored ones. if you ever want to try out random colored eyes, let me know cause i have about 20 pairs of various colored acrylics sitting in a box on my desk. i order a lot of stuff from dollmore and they always send me free eyes and i haven't recieved the same color twice from them! i have some of those super strong rare earth magnets i've been meaning to swap out in aki's head. that's on my project list for tonight. he's getting body blushed too. i giggle every time i undress him because he has such a young face but a 20-something abercrombie male model-esque body. he must just sit and do crunches all day while i'm at work. the boy is RIPPED!

i'm seijikat on... everything. lol. i really like flickr. moreso than DA, though it's not really fair to compare the two because they're not really the same. i'll add you there too! ^__^

the dz contest is here. top prize is an $800 dz voucher!

and, kai. sighs. no word yet but a girl who has been waiting the same amount of time as me just emailed them and they said 2-3 more weeks. they have that summer event going on right now and it's monsoon season so things are pretty miserable there and they're really backed up. i've waited this long, i can wait a few more weeks. also, i've discovered FOUR other bory's named kai, so i've renamed him mishka. he's going to be my little russian prince. i have the coolest eyes for him. they're silver metallics from volks. you know how fish eyes are that silver color but with a slight purple-blue-green holographic shine to them? that's exactly what these look like. they're so spooky-cool.
