I plan to re-organize this journal soon, to make finding things easier. There are so many tags for things that could be condensed! In the meantime, I've been working on a garage kit I bought on eBay some time ago:

after sanding

primed using Mr. Surfacer 1000

after two coats of paint

It's only her hair for now, painted using Tamiya color red X-7. After a third coat of that, I'll try adding pastel dust along the tips, too. I keep taking pictures of the Pink Soap because it works so incredibly well. It's really great brush cleaner! But on different note, I'm waiting on another doll. > > I wanted a girl as my second, but this boy proved irresistible to me:

Camellia Dynasty Om

He's MSD-sized, double-jointed, limited to 28 in the world, and comes with a kitty doll to boot! *_* I don't know his name yet, but he'll be home in roughly a month. Ee~!

oooohhh, you got one of those camellia's?!?! they're so adorable!! and the kitty too! ^__^

i should have my bory within a month, too. i can't wait! i didn't think i'd be so angsty waiting for him since i have other, taller boys to hold my attention but... argh. i keep squealing over this photo of him:
borykins

i've decided his name will be kai. for now, it seems to fit.

and, pinky:st. do you know [info]zannah? she always has fantastic pinky:st photos. i hope you post finished photos! that's one of those things i've been resisting. i collect dunny's and qee's and gloomybear stuff and now BJD's, so i'm afraid to add another hobby!

Ah, I've been drooling over those Bory pics myself -- he's really a handsome boy! The shape of his eyes is ridiculously attractive to me somehow. XD; Ah, we'll get through the waiting, won't we? It'll make their finally arriving that much better!

This is my first time hearing about her! You're right though, her pictures are nice and crisp from what I can see. Ooh, what are dunny's and qee's, if you don't mind my asking? :o Qee... sounds cute by itself.

i think his eyes are what got me too. that and he just looks SO SERIOUS. i think i may have to get him some little eyeglasses.

qees and dunnys are these little designer vinyl figures that you can paint yourself or you can buy prepainted ones by select artists. the qee's look like a bear [though there were kitty eared ones and i think a dog?] and dunny's look like bunny rabbits. you can see some here: click on the side bar for dunny and/or qee.

also, there was a gallery tour of a bunch of large ones that artists were commissioned to do. i took a ton of photographs when it was in town. you can see them here: flickr set. some were just amazing to see in person!

Aw, I'd never heard of Camellia Dynasty before~ Do they only do those two boys??
I think Om is the cuter of the two, and the kitty too xD <3

I'm still trying *really* hard to avoid buying a BJD >__>
I think I'd probably get a girl? Maybe a senior Delf Annette, since she's beautiful. Although I've seen a few custom girls around that are lovely. Nice boys are so much easier to find though~
The Dream of Idol boys have great bodies xD But expensive still!

Also you managed to get a garage kit?? I'm trying to convince my friend to go to Summerfest to get me some among other thigns XD Since they can be really expensive on Ebay~~
Was it easy to work with?

Hope you're well x

It seems like they're new, or at least new to international orders? Aside from these two boys, there's a 60cm one named Amein, who was also limited edition. :o I don't know if there are others, but I'd definitely be interested in seeing more from this sculptor! And I agreeeee~! XD Maybe I have some kind of liking for sleepy-eyed dolls?

I think I cracked after about a year or so of admiring and reading about them. XD; Hang in there! I see what you mean about Annette though -- her features are so lovely and delicate. *_* One day, but not any day soon, I want to have a U-noa Lusis. Aaand now I'm looking at those D.O.I. boys, and I've got to agree that their bodies are excellent! I like the mid-thigh articulation, and for some reason, I really like the shoulder blades.

It's the one official garage kit I own, and I don't think I'll be buying any more since they're so pricey. x x; It was nice to see the difference between an official one and the one from E2046, though. This kit has been pretty easy to work with so far! I just learned there has to be a lot of caution while removing excess from the parts. :D; I totally hacked a peg off Airi's scythe.

I'm doing fine~ I hope you're well too! ^^
